TREKKING

Going on "trek." That is the quintessential word for missionary life. I grew up with the word. Dad did "it" as a missionary in Nigeria. It is part of South African history. It flavors my thoughts of Africa. It is "the" word of my life. Pack up your tent and join me!

EUROPE

Just got back from Europe. This trip began in Barcelona, Spain where we visited BMW missionaries and worked together planning for the future of the ministry there. There has been a lot of missionary work in the city over the past decades but the city is spilling over the mountain into a valley further inland. Our focus in the coming years is to start churches in the 27 towns and cities in that region. Pray for dozens of workers to join us.

Our next stop was in Paris to visit BMW missionaries who are doing a superb job of starting churches in that city. They presently have a church of 150 and are planning this year to launch another church out of this one. It is a classic job of establishing reproducing churches… the purpose of BMW.

One of the main objectives of this visit was to conduct a “Winter Workshop” with missionaries who serve on the Continent. We holed up in a cozy hotel up a valley surrounded by snow laden mountains. And these are genuine mountains…. No mole hills. The grandeur was spectacular. And it was a profitable time as we worked on projects that will advance our ministry in European countries. We talked about recruiting, attrition, support systems for MK’s, leadership, muslims in Europe, internship programs, expansion, the European Union and it’s affect on our future, etc. We also re-charged our spiritual batteries with times of prayer and scripture study. We went away thrilled that we had this opportunity to interact andmove our ministries forward.
