LONDON

Joan says we are doing the "dead people's" tour. She is right. But these are not just any "dead people." While in London we visited the church building where Spurgeon pastored and another one where Wesley pastored. One was a Calvinist and the other was Arminian... but both left their impact on the world and church history. Then a quick visit to Bunhill Fields, the cemetary where John Bunyan is buried. His book "Pilgrims Progress" is considered the most significant work in English or Christian literature and has been translated into more than 200 languages.

Being "around" these men greatly encourages humility. No one will be talking about many of us a couple hundred years from now. But then again... history is not the scorecard that counts.
